Emerging Adult DBT/ACT Process Group

$280.00

This group is designed for young adults ages 18-24 looking for additional support with applying Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, processing current stressors, and managing barriers to a meaningful life. Participants will also be introduced to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a value-based approach. This group provides a non-judgmental space to collaborate with peers who can relate to the unique challenges of being an emerging adult. This includes navigating college transition, managing increased independence, building/maintaining interpersonal relationships, coping with work stressors, and implementing structure. The group emphasizes mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Group members receive assistance with skill application, exploration of values, and movement toward meaningful behavioral change.

Participants will get the most out of group if they have completed a DBT skills group, PHP/IOP focused on DBT, and/or have previously/currently worked/ing with a DBT/ACT therapist.

Once you register, Julie Myers, LCSW, will contact you to schedule your group therapy intake.

Time: Wednesdays at 6:00-7:00p, CST
