$330.00

Welcome to OMG (Only Making Gains Kids Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group) at Mind Chicago, where we meet weekly for 90 minutes of engaging, skill-building fun. Led by our expert DBT therapist, Jane Kim, this structured group is designed specifically for kids. Each session combines age-appropriate psychoeducation, lively group discussions, and hands-on activities that make learning and practicing new skills both effective and enjoyable.

Our goal is to enhance your child's emotional well-being, equip them with practical coping strategies, and foster stronger connections with both their peers and caregivers. At the OMG Group, we're all about helping kids grow, connect, and thrive.

The OMG Kids Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group is a 6-session therapeutic group designed for 4th – 7th graders who struggle with big emotions, social difficulties, depression, and anxiety. The group introduces young folks to DBT skills, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, walking the middle path, and interpersonal effectiveness. In this session, we will focus on EMOTION REGULATION SKILLS.

Parents receive weekly video and/or email updates with psychoeducation and practice ideas for home. We also provide a 60-minute virtual parent session to review all the skills learned and answer skill-related questions.

This group is not well-suited for youth with significant behavioral challenges in group settings, those who flee group settings, children with moderate to high support needs autism spectrum disorders, or those who have a history of aggressively bullying others.

Once you register, a group facilitator will contact you to schedule your group therapy intake.
