INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPIST

Greetings, I’m Fatima (Fa-tee-ma) and I look forward to spending time with you! Some background about me… I received a BA in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Social Work, specializing in Children & Families, from Loyola University Chicago. I have rich experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in outpatient settings with various populations. For instance, I worked in community mental health, leading self-awareness & mindfulness practice groups and facilitating parenting courses. Today, my professional joy is rooted in supporting youth and parents as they navigate anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, life transitions, LGBTQ+ identity and development, and the relationship with the self. I value helping fellow humans reach deeper levels of peace by creating a supportive and healing environment.

My primary therapeutic approaches include:

Outside the therapy office, I enjoy traveling, thrifting, spending time with my family and loved ones, and eating gourmet foods. I also love being in nature as it increases feelings of calmness and releases endorphins in the body! What activities bring you peace and joy?

Serving Illinois residents.
