Anxiety & OCD
Impacts kids of all ages
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health challenges among youth. It may manifest as excessive worry, fear, or nervousness and can interfere with a child's daily activities, social interactions, and academic performance. A bit less common is a disorder called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD. OCD is different from anxiety. Kids with OCD may experience intrusive thoughts, images, or impulses (obsessions) that cause anxiety and engage in repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) to alleviate the anxiety. OCD requires extra special support.
When OCD or anxiety gets in the way of your child’s experience at school, home, and with friends, it’s time to get treatment that works.
