Hello! I’m Abbas, and I look forward to getting to know you. Let me share a bit about me. I received a BA from Loyola University Chicago, a Master’s in Divinity, and a Master's in Clinical Social Work from The University of Chicago. Early in my career, I worked in clinical spiritual care as a chaplain for organizations like Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. Eager to offer even more support to individuals and families, I transitioned from spiritual care to therapy. Through the years, I’ve gained ample experience providing evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and hospital settings. All this to say, I find great joy in collaborating with youth, young adults, and families on their wellness journey.
I specialize in:
Outside the therapy office, I enjoy playing video games and pulling a great shot of espresso. I also love jumping, running, and playing with dogs any chance I get. Animals are therapeutic - and fun!
