Worry And Anxiety

Anxiety is a common mental health issue that affects children of all ages. It may manifest as excessive worry, fear, or nervousness, and can interfere with a child's daily activities, social interactions, and academic performance. When worry or anxiety gets in the way of school, home, and social life, it’s time to get treatment that works.

OCD and Selective Mutism

Youth with OCD may experience intrusive thoughts, images, or impulses (obsessions) that cause anxiety, and engage in repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) to alleviate the anxiety. Selective Mutism is an anxiety disorder in which children may have difficulty speaking in certain social situations, despite being fully capable of doing so in other circumstances. Although different, OCD and Selective Mutism require specialized support. We offer evidence-based approaches that help youth and families build confidence, manage symptoms, and improve their quality of life.

Big Emotions and Depresson

When big emotions take over, it can be hard for young folks (and parents) to make the most helpful decisions and reach their goals. Symptoms may include irritability, low energy, difficulty doing everyday activities, and low self-worth. Early intervention and treatment is important in helping children, teens, and young adults manage these symptoms and live healthy, fulfilling lives.

ADHD

ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects young people’s ability to focus, regulate emotions, and control impulses. Symptoms may include hyperactivity, forgetfulness, and difficulty following instructions. With proper diagnosis and treatment, children with ADHD can learn to manage their symptoms and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
