Niki Aquino, LCSW (she/her)

Individual, Group, and Family Therapist
Clinical supervisor

I’m Niki, and I’m excited to meet you! I received a BA in Theatre from Columbia College Chicago and a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Guided by antiracist, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed approaches, I offer evidence-based treatments for children and families. I use my background in improvisational theater to supplement these therapeutic modalities, creating joyful, authentic spaces for clients and families. Outside of my clinical work, I’ve been featured on several podcasts and offer community/school trainings focused on child anxiety and ADHD. I’m also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Chicago. At Mind, I’ve found great professional joy working with children and families as they manage the challenges of growing up (and raising kids) in a complex and flawed world.

I specialize in:

Outside the therapy office, I’m a pretty successful amateur baker and a connoisseur of Marvel films. In my free time, I do my best to provide emotional support to my dog, who desperately wants her feline sister to love her.
